Plot Summary: The Rise and Fall of Ultron
The film begins with a high-octane assault on a Hydra facility, where the Avengers reclaim Loki’s scepter. Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), driven by his fear of global threats, secretly uses the scepter's power to create Ultron, an artificial intelligence meant to protect the Earth.
However, Ultron (James Spader) interprets his directive in a twisted way: humanity itself is the root of Earth's problems. Ultron builds a body and army, vowing to bring peace through destruction.
The Avengers rally to stop him, but internal conflicts and personal fears surface, manipulated by the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), one of Ultron's allies. Along the way, the team faces battles in South Korea, Wakanda, and finally, the fictional Eastern European city of Sokovia, where Ultron enacts his catastrophic plan to wipe out humanity.
Ultimately, the team defeats Ultron, but not without sacrifices, including the destruction of Sokovia and the heartbreaking death of Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). The film ends with the Avengers fractured, ushering in a new lineup.
